You are going to spend some time in the Loire Valley and would like to discover the wines produced in the area but you won't have the opportunity to go and visit a wine cellar or take a wine tour in the vineyard... You feel like staying at home in front of the fireplace and enjoying a wine tasting while it is too cold outside... You are having a family party or a friends get-together and would like to organise a wine tasting...
I can come to you and organise the perfect wine tasting for your event, in the place of your choice. Gather about a dozen friends, family members, colleagues... for an original and unique at-home wine tasting, which will allow you to learn more about the wine-tasting techniques, or about Loire Valley wines in particular or French wines in general. This moment can also be the opportunity to discover local food that can possibly be served with the wines.
I will bring the wines and the equipment - glasses, educational and tasting material, a spittoon if necessary, napkins...
Prior to the wine tasting, we will choose together the wines you would like to taste (color, style, origin...), according to the participants' tastes and wishes. In any case, the wines will be blind tasted, for even more fun.
Several options are possible and listed below by way of example.
I will adapt the programme and the wines tasted to your needs and wishes so as to create a tailor-made wine-tasting event.

Why not learn the techniques of wine tasting and the basics of food and wine pairing at-home with friends or family? This introduction to wine tasting includes some fun and educational workshops to learn to recognize and name wine flavours and aromas. We will also talk about textures, colors, serving temperature, decanting... Then, we will put into practice thanks to a tasting of 4 wines (or more according to your wishes), which we will comment on together. The goal: for everyone to leave knowing how to explain the reasons why he/she likes a wine or not.
Diversity is what best characterizes Loire Valley wines: all colors and all styles of wine are produced, so I like to say that there is a wine for everybody in the Loire! 21 grape varieties are grown to make AOC wines. They are rarely blended, which means most Loire Valley wines are single-varietal. This nevertheless offers a wide choice of wines for this wine tasting, which will allow you to discover at least 4 grape varieties. All white wines, or all red wines, or a blend of various styles of wine to satisfy everyone's palate - several options are possible!
Have you ever heard of Menu Pineau, Grolleau, Pineau d'Aunis and Tressalier...? If you are already familiar with Loire Valley wines, I suggest you discover some indigenous and rare grape varieties grown there. Our blind tasting will allow you to discover wines and varieties of grapes that are not so famous and that are produced on very small surface areas (sometimes a few dozens hectares only).
You'd like to spend a festive moment with your guests? Opt for a saprkling wine tasting! Champagne is certainly what comes first to mind when one's think about festive wines. This wine tasting will allow you to discover alternatives to Champagne and to learn a little more about the different production methods, the main producing regions, what goes under the terms sparkling, fizzy, traditional method... for a real effervescent moment!
You'd like to discover one particular grape variety? We offer wine tastings which will allow you to choose and compare wines made with the same grape variety but produced in various regions of France or the world. For example, Malbec, produced in the Loire Valley, in Cahors, in another AOC in the South-West or in Argentina.
Examples of grape varieties: Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay... for whites; Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah... for reds.
You feel like discovering one French wine-making region in particular? This is something we can do! A focus on Alsace, the Rhône Valley, the South-West, the Jura region ... everything is possible.
